Hey guys, I just dropped in a chevy small block in my 79 firebird formula and I need some advice for wiring. I can't quite find a wiring diagram that matches what is coming from the bulkhead terminal in the engine bay ( 7 wires all cut about 2 feet from terminal). Here are what i think the colors are (they are faded so it is my best guess): THICK purple, THICK pink, THICK red, blue, green, black, red/black.
Heres a link to a diagram that seems to be most relevant and also my own diagram ive been creating.
NOTE: my diagram includes "brown wire" even though im not entirely sure if the actual wire is black or brown or what. My black wire seems to only be continuous when ignition is in "on" position, not crank or off. Then again, I don't have everything wired up yet.
Again, I am wiring the existing engine wires to a Small Block 350, so some modification will most likely be required.
