Time to change the wipers on the 97. But I only have one choice of wiper blade which is a crappy oe style, due to it being the stupid reverse hook mount. They changed it to a common j hook style in 98, found a couple of wiper arms off a 99 camaro, and I don't see why they wouldn't fit but just figured I would ask for sure before I got them if anyone knew for certain.

I work at Advance auto, and was able to figure out this fix for us early 4th gen guys.

Buy a pair of Trico Onyx blades, trim down the adapters so you can flip them upside down. Flip them and install. I have them installed right now.

Tip: only trim down the adapters as much as you NEED to, as if you trim them too much, they will not properly hold the wiper in place.

Cons: As i have only had one car to test on, i am not sure if the issue is isolated to my vehicle. I have an issue with the spring putting too much tension on the blade, and popping the adapter out causing the wiper to flop around. I am working on a solution for that.
