I know this thread has been done to death but I thought it was time for an updated version.

So what music do you have your cars right now?

Personally, since i'm using my moms Altima to get around and it has a tape player I'm using my girlfriends 40GB MP3 player with everything from The Allman Brothers to DMX to Metallica, to some Reggaeton, to some Techno.

I got the good ol' 40GB MP3 player too, running to an auxillary input on my cd player, so much easier than having 300 cds in the back.

But lately I have been listening Panic at the Disco and Kutless. Other than that I have 4500 songs at last count on my MP3 player so what I am listening to constantly changes.

Well, my cars got a broken 8 track player, so i don't have any music in it, but i listen when i'm out in the garage.

I mainly listen to classic rock, heavy metal, and rock.

Metallica (older stuff)
Bad Company
Kansas
Queen
Zeppelin
Eagles
Allen Parsons Project
PINK FLOYD, and lots of it
Eric Clapton
Bob Segar (SP?)
Rammstein
Blind Guardian
Aerosmith
Apocalyptica
Red Hot Chili Peppers
AC/DC
Black Sabbath
Def Leopard
Van Halen
Guns 'n Roses
The Who
Rolling Stones
Pantera
Megadeth
Alice Cooper
Foo Fighters
And some other stuff but i can't remember...

Just about anything that has great sounding guitars
And my buddy just dropped of some new stuff for me to listen too.

I have a cd player in my truck so unfortunatly i have to carry alot of cds with me. I have music ranging from 80`s hair bands like Firehouse, Cinderella, Poision, Tesla , etc. Theres some classic rock like Bad Company, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, and so on. Then my favorite is heavy metal like Metallica, Disturbed, Papa Roach, and so on.

houston's party station 104.9 for english jams (mostly rap on here)
or 102.9 for spanish jams (mojo music)
cd wise; i've only filled like 4 cds so i got room for 8 more (will eventually get to it.)
i've got a few track by the gorillaz
some massive attack.. <3
i got some marilyn manson, that sh1t rocks while you're going over 100mph.. then again pretty much anything rocks at that speed...
i got a couple of eminem tracks
i got some screwed and chopped local music,
and for kicks when i'm drunk-driving i jam to screwed and chopped spanish music.
plus random tracks by known artists i.e. snoop dogg, ludacris, etc.
i need to find some sweet country music though.

Well before my cd/mp3 player got stolen I listen to any thing that sounded good on the two 12inch subwoofers but I got nothing in it now. Too much weight so I took it out. I sold the two 12's and the amp but I still have the box if any body would like to buy it. $50.00 dallors than shipping costs. John

My Goodness! I haven't heard some of this music since I was a teenager. Don't be shocked with my list. Sometimes it's a good thing to let your hair down once in a while. Keeps your sanity in check.

Def Leppard
Guns and Roses
Alman Brothers
Hendrix
Uriah Heep
Ray Charles
Bob Seeger
Alabama
Bruce Springsteen
Janis Joplin
Rolling Stones
Cat Stevens
Van Halen
James Brown
Styx
Kansas
Boston
The Who
Journey
Eric Clapton
Beach Boys
Grand Funk Railroad
And country music too.
And so many more ... B)

I will not listen to rap music at all. To me, rap music sounds like whining kids because they didn't get what they wanted or just how hard life is. I'd like to tell one of them to grow up and be responsible. B)

When you grow up around a lot of the things they rap about and see it going on, sometimes even live through it, you can definatly relate and appreciate their struggle and if applicable their triumph over it. It does get repetative real quick though. I listen to it mostly for the beats, I'm a bass freak, I need to FEEL my music to be happy.

I'm with you Crispy but the language and symantics are a bit much. Blues singers/players have been doing the 'rough life and struggle' venue for many decades and everyone, including rappers can appreciate their music without the language and whining. Bass comes in a variety of forms through music. Even I can appreciate a good bass from time to time. B)
