Hi,

I have a 67 Firebird that has been messed with by multiple previous owners. There is a two wire boot coming through the firewall on the drivers side to the right of the master cylinder. It has two blades inside the connector and the wires are light green and dark green. The wires have been cut off in the engine compartment. Behind the gauges inside the car they go to another two pronged connector and then into the wiring harness. Does anyone know what these were for?

Yes I don't see it in the wiring diagram either. It looks factory. The hole punched in the firewall for it is round with a bit of a protrusion out of one side. I will try and get a picture. Could it be for the temperature sensor? I read somewhere that the temperature sensor used two green wires' one light and one dark. I see another light green wire that was also cut off that goes down to the through firewall connector down lower and close to the drivers side fender. I thought this was for the temperature sensor.
