Our 2002 Firehawk was recently purchased in July of 2025 with only 816 KM on the odometer or just over 500 miles. Previously owned by a collector who carefully stored and preserved the car - it is still sporting it's original Firehawk Firestone tires! (which will soon be changed)
We have always wanted a convertible, especially one with a V8 and a manual transmission. I had a Firebird many years ago and always admired the Firehawks for their performance and collectability. When I spotted this car for sale, we decided now was the time.
The Firehawk will reside with us on Vancouver Island, carefully tucked away in it's heated garage under cover but will be driven and enjoyed on fine weather days.

6 speed manual, convertible. Arctic white, black interior and top.
Welcome to Firebird Nation ! ! !

Great find…..

Please change those original tires soon. 23 years is too long for them to be safe. But.... in case that is not accurate, check the manufacture date on those. I suspect they have been replaced.

And also.....be a man and drive it even in bad weather ;-) Just kidding.. eh!

Uuuhhhhh, 816 KM is not remotely about 500 miles, maybe 500 K miles. Math is our friend...just not our president's ;-)

The tires on the car are the originals dated “0902” and still look new. Given they only have about 850km/527miles on them their condition makes sense.

That being said they are 23 years old and not safe to drive on. new set of Firestone Firehawks are on order.

is it worth holding on to the original tires?

I apologize for a comment of mine. 816 km is like you said. For some idiotic reason I read 1000(K), kilometer not meter. I love the Metric system and did not do it justice with my way off base remark. Ashamed to be a Ga Tech engineer ;-)

No worries,Doug. Do you think it’s worth saving and storing the original tires?
If it were mine, I would hold on to the originals. That is just me though. I would think it to be neat that I still had the original tires. If I have ever modified anything on any of my T/A's over the years, I always kept the stock parts. Especially that low of a mileage car.
