I was wondering if they make bigger aftermarket sway bars than the ones on the formula firebirds. Also I realize that the firehawk runs a .92g on the skidpad and I think its the same suspension from the formula. can anyone confirm this ?

p.s. im talking about third gens

Your WS6 Suspension is comparable but the Hawks use stiffer springs
slightly bigger swaybars and I believe Koni Shocks.

I've seen .89 G on the skidpad for stock 3rd Gen Formula's

You are both Correct

3rd Gen WS6 Swaybars are larger 34mm vs 32mm(WS6,SS,Hawk) for the fronts I'm not sure about the rear swaybar though.Tthe 4th gens have a 19mm unless you have a 1LE car they have a 21mm rear bar and a 34mm front bar.
The biggest difference is that the 3rd Gen's ride sufferes because of the stiffer suspension. The 4th Gen's made a better compromise between Ride and Handling.

Wasn't the only 3rd Gen Firehawk the very limited production 1992, $40K package from SLP, including a very high performance engine, roll bar, Dana 44 rear axle, Brembo brakes, etc. The websites I've looked at indicate there were suspension upgrades on the stock Formulas they started with, but they dont get specific about the upgrades.

You should be able to find virtually any size sway bar you want, solid or hollow. Keep in mind, the 3rd Gen and 4th Gen rear sway bars are the same. But not the fronts. Try these sites:

Just don't get the 1-5/16" (33.3mm) solid chrome moly spring steel rear sway bar, unless you are into heavy drag racing, because that's all its good for....

The largest 3rd gen sway bars were the 36mm (not 34) front and 24mm rear.
There had been some talk about the 1984 15th Ann T/A having a 25mm rear bar, but have never seen proof of this.

Just remember this, sway bars have to be paired up as a tuning tool to your suspention, and bigger is not always better.

If you put too big of a bar on the rear without upgrading the front, your car will push, or understeer. Too small of a rear bar will make the car loose, or oversteer.

Alot of times, guys will put different bars on their car to suite there driving style of auto-x needs.
It helps to understand what you are getting, when changing suspention componants.

It's been such a long time since I looked at any 3rd Gen info I forgot what the swaybar sizes were.
Those were huge Bars back then. Early 2nd Gen Birds used Bars of similar size.
