So I had this problem for a good 2 months now.
So basically I lent my car to a friend for him to get to work, few days later he calls me telling that the reverse doesn't work. At this point I didn't think it was a big deal, but when I go and get my car from him, the car starts normally on Park, but it uses every gear as Drive (even Park). Also, when switching the gears, it doesn't "click" on the gears, just moves like there is nothing to hold it (Don't really know how to explain properly :/). But this only happens when I'm taking the gears down (For example, from Park to Drive), when I go from say Drive to park, it "clicks" on the gears normally, yet always uses drive.
I doubt it being broken gear box, but don't really know what it could be.
I asked my friends cousin who goes to vocational school about cars, and he said there is a slight chance that I'm out of gear fluid (going to add more fluid soon to see if it fixes the problem). Other than that he wasn't sure what could cause it (I had to explain the problem on the phone).
Any one of you might have a clue what could cause this?
