well, yet again ive been challenged..This time by the owner of a 2004 Titan..now i looked up the specs and ive basically seen that id be taking on a 300 hp/380

tq motor in a 6500 lbs truck..Since racing in the Trans Am would be a waste of time, he decided he wanted to take on the camaro..with the 305 Tbi...headers and 3.23 gears also...Should i even be worried about this guy or is this a legitimate challenge?

Just race him. If he wins than go get the Trans Am. But there not fast I have ran one before in my LS1. The time I hit 2nd geat I had him by 5 cars so I let off.

Shouldn't be much of a problem and that's not fbody pride. Put that foreign based loving sissy where he belongs. Plus you should hook alot better than he does gotta keep these things in mind.

Thanks for the replys guys...At first i just blew this guy off, but for some reason i didnt know what to expect from the truck..Were gonna run them and see what happens..If not ill break out the T/A and blow him away

rember his gearing is probally geared for more low end towing then acceleration. it will be close you have about a 3k differance in wieght and about 150 hp diffrance so it'll be close

thanks for all the replies guys...but i have a problem before we started with the race..I gave my brother and jump beacuse his battery was dead..after it i parked my car like usual...well i went to crank my car this afternoon and it wouldnt crank..just turned over for a while..well i tried to jump it and still the same result...i noticed now that my dash gauges arent working(except for battery voltage) and that my fuel pump isnt turning on...also my trunk motor doesnt work...but my wipers, locks, radio, and lights do work..any suggestions? im at my wits end...

checked the fuses, all good except for the A/C fuse, plastics melted but the fuse is still intact...anything else?

it's a fuse. or a fuseable link. all of those have to run of the same fuse if they all went out at once. get a multimeter and start checking voltage;s

ok...well i replaced all my fuses even that little one beside my battery..still no go...so can someone explain the fuseable link deal a lil more? i dont want to have to go to a shop to get this fixed but im on a very limited time basis..thanks for the help 84z

ahh nvm we found the problem fusible link was blown and there was also a open wire by my battery, we got a new link in and vut out some bad wire and there it was..thanks for all the help again..

...well me and the titan guy finally raced..we went from a dig and his truck was quicker than i thought(pulled hard in his first and 2nd) but i pulled pretty good after 1st and put at least a car between us..it seemed like after first gear with him he kinda just faded...but im pretty sure if i still had the stock 2.73's it woulda been neck and neck...from a roll it was more favorable from me but still ended up with me around a car lead..oh and in both races we shut down around 80 mph..thank goodness for headers and 3.23's!!

man im ready to get that shift kit so i can go into OD at WOT...

thanks guys...just because i aim to please we are gonna go T/A vs Titan..hes still talkin trash cuz he thinks the race wasnt fair, but he challenged me so i dont really care....ill have the results up tommorow..and thats right F-bodies dont F around!!!
