Brand new member here looking for some advice on my 1976 Formula.
The passenger side hood hinge is broken, and therefore, causing lots of headaches for us. We want to buy some new hood hinges but are unsure if we can simply buy the ones offered over at year one http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?input=hood+hinge&SM=1&SC=4.
I know that Trans Am hood hinges won't work, but I would like to know if there is a difference in the regular Firebird hood and the Formula hood. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend replacing the hinges and springs as a pair. Just make sure to mark the hood where the current hinges are located to help make it easier to re-install once you have the new hinges installed.

Well since they fit 1970-1981 I am pretty sure they want to know if you have a early 70's fiberglass formula hood. Which is heavier then the other hoods. So I would not recomend getting the one for the formula. Stick with the regular TA ones. In the later 70's the hoods did not weigh more then the other ones.
