69 Firebird Backup light switch

Hey Guy's

My backup light's are staying on all the time so I need to replace the backup switch,any idea where it is?
I guess there would be two option's, under the console or by the valve body on the transmission.
If anyone know's I would sure appreciate it, Thanks!

i know on my 67 it is by the shifter under the console,not sure if they were the same in 69 or not.
the four speed cars are at the bottom of the steering column.

an easier fix is just to drive backwards all the time.LOL

Mike is right.
My 1969 Firebird manual shows a diagram for the switch in the console area for the automatic transmission and at the bottom of the steering column for the manual transmission.

Let us know if you fix it.
