Getting a crunch crunch crunch when operating my window. Looks loke someone has replaced it at somepoint by the cutouts. Teeth on regulator look ok. Is it most likely the motor?

It appears that the door regulator/motor mount bolts have torn out of the fiberglass inner door panel. This is a common problem on 4th Gens. You need to repair the door and remount the motor before you see if there is a motor problem. Likely there isn't.

Here's a guy on Facebook that makes and sells repair panels.

His name is Anthony Bailey.

The motor is attached behind the panel. You have to drill holes in the outer panel to access the rivets holding the motor. When installing the replacement motor you use nuts/bolts. Somebody just got sloppy drilling (hacking) the holes.

Shoebox has a detailed procedure for removing the old motor and installing new. Check his photo for the correct way to drill the access holes.

From the factory, the motor is riveted in.

Review the Shoebox procedure. Drilling holes in the outer panel is the routine method to access and drill out the rivets mounting the motor, then bolting the new motor to the regulator.

I was simply responding to post #2, which incorrectly indicated the motor was bolted to the fiberglass inner panel and had torn the bolts out of the fiberglass panel, and the panel needed to be replaced.

I stand corrected! Thanks!
