Is anyone familiar with Kauffman racing? Looking at purchasing their
D port aluminum head for my 455 build. I have read they have very small intake and exhaust ports but I'm not sure can anyone chime in and let me know, or would I be better off purchasing round port Edelbrock heads?

Just an FYI… I was told by my engine builder that the edelbrock heads need work right out of the box. Very inconsistent machining…..ie valves being too tight, guides not put in properly.

Most require work out of the box, they don't know what the builder wants. They just supply basic cores, or at best a very general setup that still needs redoing as doesn't suit. Porting and machine work for the builder to select.
