) i deff think this is viable. so...whos in?

Well Morod, that is the same issue with Florida. We are a large state with an excessive amount of birds and great weather all year round but getting a chapter formed is almost impossible let alone a meeting. The last one I spent a lot of time and prep work on, drove 150 miles and 3 birds showed up. The location was a the Orlando Speedway. Two of the three raced a few passes and then we had a 20 mile cruise to dinner at a BBQ place. It was fun but very low turnout. I even posted the meeting on craigslist and nothing. Do not feel bad, its hard to get a bunch of people to have the same day off work and with free time at the same time. Keep trying and mabe do the meet at a bigger car show to start so there is more incentive and people already planning a family day.

Very true, when I was in my Impala club, we met all the time with about 20 or so members just to bs. It was fun and a reason to get out of the house.

You hit that on the head there Dan. This has been a very tough year for my household too, I lost my job, and now with school full time and less money I barely have the funds to keep my birds running let alone go out to a car show 100 miles away. I'm hoping to suffer now and get the rewards later(after I graduate). Also I'm getting a part time job hopefully starting next Friday so that may help get my DD T/A running perfect. But it has been very rough for people all across all the forums not just birds. Let's all hope for better times in the near future.

Injuneer, I'm 21, for the most part, when it comes to the car scene, the older guys are always the ones that Dick around less, say things that are actually worth saying, and tend to be more organized. Your worth more to a car meet than you think.
. I agree 100%. After all if it weren't for the older guys how would us younger guys learn, atleast the sensible ones anyway.
As for your poor unused bird, I would gladly take care of her and take her to the track atleast once a month and only feed her the finest of fuels and lubricants. And she can spend the cold winters here in sunny Florida and go home to you in the summers. Lol. Just putting the offer on the table.
I have always enjoyed talking to the older crowd at the shows and meets I go to. The younger people for the most part just want to talk about rims, stereos, stickers, and "NOS". Lol no offense to the younger people but I like to know how the car got there and what has been done where I can't see.
