600whp or whatever the engine does and still remains in a safe range on the fueling.

I'll probably daily drive it at around 400whp. Makes it less stressful on the components and yet still a lot of fun.

wow, wow, wow, wow. This whole post is incredibly inspiring, thank you for it. To be honest, most of it is Greek to me, but someday soon I hope to get my auto mec chops polished, and when I do, I'll be sure to check back here. Incredible work, this is a true asset.

Picking up this wee beastie here in a few days!

Pulled it apart to get blasted and powdercoated, then installing fresh gears with an Auburn Road Race/Auto-x posi and Yukon axles with a few other fun things.
Scraped a few pounds of dirt/oil/coolant sludge off the axle before I started spraying it down. Will be nice to have a clean underside on this car...

Dane it's been so long.. Let's kick this mule into high gear! Did you end up selling the turbo and pistons? If so, which will you be going with?
Still have the pistons, and the turbo but they're for sale. Just been off the boards for awhile. Ran into a hitch after the previous setup broke a valve off at idle in my driveway.

I've kinda shifted gears towards autocross/road course stuff as I've had a ton of fun with it. Don't really get to do much straight line stuff, but this current engine is going to be a nasty little setup. More compression, big cam over 600 lift and 270 duration, big valve race heads and a few other odds and ends. We're looking at theoretically over 250 NA to the tires, could possibly do more depending on how well we can get the tune dialed in.

Thanks! I try to document it as much as possible.

This new setup is a lot more involved that needed some good engine building expertise that I just fell short on.

Looking foward to getting it assembled soon!

Aye where you get your Torque converter?
Bought it off somebody else that was needing a tighter verter for a turbo build. It's from TCI, could probably contact a rep and figure out where the best means would be to get it.

Sold it a few years back after the T-56 swap was complete.

One more piece of the puzzle just arrived today!

Just waiting on some parts that were lagging on my watts link and plan to assemble the rear end at the end of this week.

I've searched around for different collectors that would meet what I was looking for to work with my upcoming changes to my exhaust setup. I found a guy on ebay that cut me a reasonable deal on a set of 3-1 merge collectors that had a venturi extension to try and keep velocity up. These were done by Mike Davis in California and knew exactly what I wanted from giving him some specs and a basic explanation.

Man I've been watching your tread very closely ever since I got my bird, and you surprise me everytime you update your tread, its been helpful. I done a lot to my bird so far, but damn not like this. I'm taking a break from the engine, and already rebuilt the tranny, but im running stock TC. But now I'm gonna focus on the suspension now. I've already got some kybs adjustable shocks and eibach springs sitting in my garage. The cam will be the last big mod.

^Good choices. I would highly recommend a good set of swaybars to go with it as they help so much with the body roll these cars have.

You really can't go wrong with big bars on these cars. I have the stranos on mine and have been pretty happy with them.

I feel it man, the body roll on these cars are ridiculous, feel like your driving a boat on wheels. Next month im getting Lowering control arms, and strut bar and sway bars soon after. I like that torque arm relocation crossmember you got, I found one on BMR suspension, it makes the tranny looks nice 👍👌 and once I'm done with that, cam next. It's a good thing I brought all the parts for the cam ahead time, save me the hassle. I'm still going for intense s1x cam.
