Are all 68 birds electric tops?

Cars of the period, when having a powered top, use an electro/hydraulic type mechanism. It used motors to actuate hydraulic cylinders that raised & lowered top.

Yes but did they come as manual operation as well?

Can't say for sure if 1st gens came with manual tops, but my guess is no.

My '67 is a manual top. So 1st Gens did come that way, at least initially.
