I have a 71 firebird formula 400 with 400 turbo transmission.i have the ram air intake and tvs hooked up.can someone tell me the vacuum line route from transmission to carb or intake?

I'd run it to the intake.. should be a vac tree right behind the carb. I believe the stock setup had a hard line with a 180 degree twist down to the tree.. rubber line just on the ends of the hard line.

As long as it has vacuum at idle, should be good. If the tranny shifts funny, run it directly to the intake somewhere.

Some vac ports have "ported" vacuum which have no vac at idle, some people use "ported" vacuum for the vacuum advance. I don't use "ported" vacuum at all. I just cap it.
