Hey guys I have a 1998 3.8 Firebird. I noticed my car’s transmission slipped and I looked under the hood and it was due to a lack of fluid. It drove absolutely fine and shifted great all that happened was my rpm’s jumped a little and I’m fairly certain it was it slipping due to the low fluid. Any thoughts? Is my transmission garbage now?

Was the fluid left in the trans clean, or burned?

Do you have any leaks in the trans?

It was leaking from the radiator. It was only a few drops hear or there but I checked the dip stick and it looked clean just low. I didn’t see any shavings or anything either.

Have you refilled the transmission yet?

No not yet. I’m waiting for the new radiator
