Hello everyone, Anyone have any suggestions. I have a 1983 T/A with a 305 Cross-fire engine. If I hit on the throttle hard, the throttle sticks and the rpm's stick and stay at about 3000 rpm's, the only way to get it down is to hit the throttle hard and fast a couple times and then it fill finally come back down to normal. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

Try removing the cable from throttle lever to see if lever is sticking or cable is causing the stick. Clean and lubricate lever if it's sticking. Lube cable if it's sticking and try to work the bind out. See if gas pedal is binding, lube it also. If it's the cable and you can't make it work, new cable time.
