I currently have a 1970 Firebird and the original owner put in an aftermarket AM/FM Cassette deck back in the 80's with an undermount equalizer. My son wants to get rid of both of those but we can't figure out how to get to the radio to get it out. We took off the knobs and faceplate and nuts on the front however we can't figure out how to get the radio out from behind. Do we need to take the dash apart or go in through the glove box? Any help is appreciated.

Hy,

you can go the way at the glovebox or screw under the glovebox the cover loose and only that heatpipe or what it callt away.

Then you can get the radio out.

Regards
Sascha

Would it be easier to pull the console and drop it down?
