Sounds like a great plan.

So you have a 1969 convertible with a tired 400 engine. There are a few ways to wake up your motor. Depending on how you build the 400 engine, you want to get a lot of low end torque from the motor.

Make sure that you get in writing what you want done with the rebuilder such as specified parts, camshaft, lifters, pistons, valves, heads, rebuild, assembly, etc. Sounds like a fair deal for $4300.

Are you planning to use the car for a driver? Are you trying to make it into a modified performance car? Do you want to keep it looking stock?
What kind of horsepower do you want to make? Are you keeping theTH350 transmission and ten-bolt 3.08 rearend? What are you planning for intake, carb and exhaust?
