i noticed some drops of oil under my car after i parked it for a few hours and i was wondering if anyone else had an oil leak and if you knew where it was coming from. i noticed some oil around the valve covers... any help?

possible u have a leak from the cover or manifold gaskets. wheres it dripping at on the floor, front or rear of car?

dripping from the front right under the oil pan...and it looks like it might be coming from the bolt on the oil pan...but i just replaced the bolt so idk maybe i didnt tighten it enough? cuz i thought i tightened it pretty well

Is this a bolt or nut on the oil pan? If so, you probably overtightened it as they don't require very much torqued, and if you over torque it, you will break them. Did this show up after you tightened it?

hm im not sure cuz i changed the oil in it 2 days after i got it...and the nut that was on there before i changed the oil was stripped pretty bad which is why i had to get a new one

Yep, people strip or break them all the time by applying way too much torque.

well i think one problem might be the synthetic oil and the oil pan bolt i bought might be the wrong one...idiots at napa...what would you guys recommend for non synthetic?

u dont wanna switch from non syn to syn. ull mess up whole lot with the engine.
