So I have no heat in my car even when fully warm just never blows hot or even warm. Fans seem to work fine I'm not sure how hard they should be blowing but they do blow.

What would I check or do before just replacing the heater core?
 
Do BOTH heater hoses - supply and return - get hot?

Common problem is a plugged heater core. Can be flushed with a garden hose by removing heater hoses from water pump.

I think Fred knows more about this than I do, but I seem to remember him saying to check the temperature of both pipes to the heater core. One that is way colder means it is plugged.
 
A little off topic, but this made me LOL... I went looking for the heater hose assembly (part# 10261147) in the shbox link above. Summit Racing has it for $142, I figure that is a fair price for what it is. Then I notice it's for 95-97 only. So I find the part number for 93-94, 10236039, and pull it up. $162. As if that isn't slap in the face enough, the 93-94 hose says it's oversized and that's an extra $10 shipping, so, $172.

I hadn't checked it i just assumed if it wasn't overheating it was probably fine. I'll check it though today. I'll check the hoses and try flushing as well. Winter coming soon here I need heat lol.

@ZumpTA I'm glad the cheapest is for the 95 lol seems like a lot for some hoses.

I just checked the hoses after bringing my kids to school it seemed to me the outlet hose was cold and inlet was warm. I'll try flushing it later, I have a bunch of appointments today.
 
Avoid getting the Opti wet.

The part numbers that ZumpTA posted are for more than "hoses".... includes all the parts shown in the parts diagram I linked, basically the complete assembly - hoses, hard lines, clamps, bleeder valve, flow restrictor, etc.

Ah thats right i forgot they had hard lines too. Makes sense now.

Thank you all for the help i appreciate it. Still got alot to learn.

I flushed out the heater core using the method provided by shoebox. Heat is toasty now!!

I have a cpl other questions.

Whats this part called here? I tried to replace the ABS Wheel Speed sensor on the front passenger side and bought HOLSTEIN 2ABS3269 , and i just could not get the thing to fit. So i was wondering if they had this part with the ABS sensor in it already or not. Maybe on ebay but i dont know the name of this part, didn't see it on shoebox.

Also whats the purpose of this hole here on the CAI? Is it supposed to be attached to anything because its been just as is.
 
The front wheel is supported by a single “cartridge“ that contains the hub/spindle, bearings, and the wheel speed sensor. I have never heard of a separate replacement for the wheel speed sensor. Maybe things have changed after 20 years???

The connection on the cold air intake, between the filter and the connection to the MAF sensor is for the filtered air supply to the inlet of the AIR pump.

Looked up the Holstein part and it sounds like it is the complete assembly, but no photo available. This is what the correct part looks like:

Wasn't clear exactly what you were referring to in the photo, assumed it was just the sensor.

Ah ok that assembly from summit looks like it would work much better i'll order that i tried to take that off before but after i took the 4 bolts off i was having trouble getting it off so i thought it couldn't come off for some reason must not have tried hard enough. This is what that Holstein part looks like and all it was.

So for Air pump i have that deleted, so should i have that hole plugged/covered up?
 
I've never seen a separate wheel speed sensor for the front wheels. But Holstein listing indicates it's for 3.4L, 3.8L, 5.7L Camaro/Firebird. But the description of what it consists of is very vague. And there's only a photo of the box, not the actual part.

The hose connection on the cold air intake should have a vacuum cap on it if AIR is deleted. Otherwise the intake is pulling in unfiltered air and dumping it into the combustion chambers.

That would be the steering knuckle. Based upon pictures I have seen, the wheel hub-and-bearing assembly bolts into the knuckle. Those bolts may be very difficult to remove without an air impact wrench (or some heat).

I, like Fred, am not aware of a separate, serviceable front wheel speed sensor. If it "is a thing," I'd be curious to know how you would service the sensor, which appears to be made to the hub assembly.
 
Use the 1995 factory service manual. Removal of the front wheel hub assembly is covered starting on page 3C-6. The diagram is Figure 11 on page 3C-8.

Just curious, maybe I missed it - how did you determine the wheel speed sensor was faulty?

The code came up when i scanned it saying ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Right Front.

Did you see the picture of what the wheel speed sensor looks like i posted it, i took the old one off and this is supposed to go in replace of it but its too tight of a fit i can't get it on. The old one was made out of metal and this is plastic so i can't really bang it on.
 
I had that exact thought...even if you could service the sensor and remove it with the hub still in the knuckle, how would you get the new one on? 🤔

My former automotive technician self says if I'm pulling the hub to service a wheel speed sensor, I'm just replacing the entire assembly.
