Well I got around to installing a new hood insulation pad on my bird today. I got it from the F body store, it came complete with a new set of retainers, in fact they gave extra just in case. After removing the old insulation I cleaned everything with simple green, it really made a big difference. The pattern was exactly like the original with the exception of it was not molded and is a tad thicker. Installation was simple, could have done it in about 20 minutes if I wasn't so picky about the cleaning. LMK what you think. in

Nice! I did that OEM functional power bulge mod to my '90 Formula LO3/A4 way back in 1998, swapped the setup in from a '84 HO L69 TA. Clean Formula! Congrats!

Thanks 😊. I couldn't find the OE air cleaner cover (at least for under $300) so I fabricated my own. That and the grill that inserts into the power bulge. These parts are very rare now, if I ever come across one for a reasonable price I'll swap be it out.
