Just picked up a 81 turbo T/A . auto
Car had 11 owners before I got it , and it seems to be all original .
took up the carpet to check the floors and found clear plastic under the seat bolts also found build sheet behind rear seat.
body is in great shape no rust only bad thing is the turbo is missing.

so my question is if I put it back to stock is it worth anything?
Or do I swap out the drivetrain with something newer.
I have a 350 tpi 5 spd sitting in my garage doing nothing

Hey Vincent, Welcome to FBN! Great to have you here.
Your question can have two different school's of thought, first a numbers matching correct vehicle should fetch the best dollar however there has been many instances where the same car with a replacement engine/tranny/rear end and highly modded for power has exceeded the asking prices for original cars.

It all comes down to who is looking at the time, thier wants and thier moneyand what they are willing to spend to get it.
Recently there was a 68 Firebird in town which was highly done up with a chev 454 and extremely fast, it went for 48.000 which is way more than most stock 68's.
The guy that bought it was in his late 40's, had tons of cash and away it went.

Take Care
Pete
