Heading to Carlisle next month and I am hoping to pick up a new intake and 4bbl carb for my 69 Bird 350 auto at a reasonable price.
Currently it has the stock intake and 2bbl carb. Just looking to give it a little more power when I get the itch yet I want it to be somewhat of a gas miser when I can control my right foot. Looking for a street setup not a race setup and I would like it to easily fit under the hood so there is no modifications.
I have been looking at the Edelbrock Performer #2156 intake. There are so many choices out there that it is bamboozling to say the least. Intakes: Dual Plane, Square or spread bore intakes...Carbs: Single/Dual inlet, vacuum, Electric chokes, adjustable/ fixed floats and what CFM?
Any suggestions for a good setup for my Bird that will replace the stock intake and carb to suit my intended use that won't break the bank or get me divorced?
