According to the 96 manual I have (and assuming '97 should be the same) the V6 MAF sensor is sitting on top of the air intake throttle body (the plug with the yellow connector clip). Your air intake temp sensor should be plugging into your air intake duct, that wiring with the grey connector clip right by the intake boot.
Thank you so much, follow up question, does your manual say where the ends of both wires are connected to?

It appears that my maf and iat sensors are both in tact and attached to their corresponding part, but I still have two loose cables under my intake hose.

You'd have had your answer by now if you were willing to put even the slightest amount of effort into this yourself. You want to play games while everyone else does the work for you? It doesn't work like that here. Find another forum. We will put as much effort into discussions as the person requesting assistance. So far, your effort is 100% ZERO. I refer you to your ORIGINAL post on this issue where information and action was requested of you. Reposting a topic when you're not satisfied with the answer is not how things are done. If you'd have simply done as asked in the other topic, I'd be kind today. If you found the asset given to you confusing, I'd have bent over backwards to help and explain.

As it stands though, I'm out. I ain't got time for folks who ain't got time. Get it? You'll get as much out of this community as you put in.

Apologies but I’ve definitely put in work on the backend. I’ve heavily researched this online with no luck. Haven’t been able to find a clear diagram or direction anywhere.
Since this is a duplicate thread, which we discourage in order to avoid confusion and duplicate effort, let's stick to your original.
