I have a 97 Trans Am with an Lt1 . It has 103,000 miles and a year and a half ago I developed an oil leak from the rear of the intake manifold. I took it to the local Pontiac dealer to have it fixed. It cost me around $700 but it was fixed. Now the oil leak is back and its the same problem, the intake gasket. The dealer says they do not warraty gaskets, Guess thats how they stay in business.
But I need to fix it and want to know if this is a common problem with the LT1.
Should I attempt to tackle the repair my self or just wait til I get my Lt4 conversion to get it fixed.
