Looking for suggestions for a good set of tires for my 72 formula 400 with 15 inch honeycomb rims. I also just overhauled the entire suspension except for the springs. Is it worth having the factory leaf springs reconditioned? If not who makes a good set? Another thing I am lost on is the coil springs. I am confused on what # I need. I read the originals are around 325 and it seems like a lot of guys are upgrading to the stiffer ones between 550 and 600lb. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first build and it is getting a little overwhelming!

For tires, I like white letters, at a reasonable price. So, I'll go with the Cooper Cobra.

Then, there is the BFG Radial T/A.

Or, how about Mickey Thompson ?

But, if you prefer black walls, the choices are unlimited. There's Good Year Eagles, Firestone Firehawks, Toyo, Yokohama, Nitto, etc, etc.

I also like the look of smaller tires on the front, and wider, taller tires on the back(from my racing background I suppose). But, if the front and rear tires are not the same, you can't rotate 'em. :no

For springs, there are all sorts of cheap springs(Chinese I assume), from Summit, Ebay, etc. or you can go with higher priced Eaton Detroit springs.
