Don't know if y'all know about these or not, but they are a great set of tires at a good price. I have a hard time finding them were I'm at, but in my home town of Fayetteville, NC, they are all over the place. Basicly because the Kelly Springfield Tire Plant is in Fayetteville, NC. Now, not saying I would run these on the Birds if you are looking for a super sticky tire, but they really aren't that bad. I have had a set on the old Chevy truck I used to own (Kelly Safari's), a Saturn my wife used to own (regular Kelly touring tires), and there is still a set on my original Formula rims (Kelly Chargers) which are currently on my wife's IROC. To say the least these tires last a long time. The set I had on the old truck, I bought in late 98, and the truck was my daily driver. I sold the truck in early 2002, and these tires still looked brand new. The same thing with the Saturn. Bought the tires in 96 or 97, sold the car in 2001, and this was my wife's daily driver, and the tires still looked new. Now the ones on my original Formula rims, they were purchased in early 98, when I was still using the Formula as my daily driver. They were on the car until I changed to the 92 Firehawk wheels about a year and a half ago. Now they are on my wife's IROC. While these are showing some wear, especially since I used to lite these up on the Formula, they are still in very good shape, and are back to daily driving status. Just to let you know, Kelly Springfield was bought out by Goodyear a few years back. Their Chargers, at least the ones that are on the IROC right now, have the same tread pattern as the old Goodyear Gatorbacks, but I don't think you can get them in VR or ZR rated. The Kelly Charger is what I am wanting to put on the 78 TA, and I may make a trip to Fayetteville, NC, to get a set.
