I tried to get under my car to take a look a little while back and had a jack with a round cup on it. I put it on the pinch weld, but heard some creaking and when i looked it had started to bend the weld. This didn't inspire much confidence, so I stopped. Just last weekend I got a flat and pulled out the jack and donut and saw the jack has a cup with a straight groove fit around the frame and lift up. I did not see any bending like I did on the pinch weld preciously, but I went to the next rail back if i recall correctly. The manual didn't seem all that specific with which rail to use, it just shows an image and says go a couple inches and look for the indent.
I was going to try and get under the car for a quick look this weekend and to try and put the skip shift resistor in place. I was curious how and where you guys jack up the car or what you use as lift points on a four point lift. Thanks for the help!
