I'd contact Paul Carter. He works at Koerner Racing Engines, in your area. He is a well known Pontiac engine builder.

You can probably find a '68 2-barrel 350. Most guys replace 'em with something bigger. But, a 400 will be a better choice. And, if you don't have to have a '68, you can probably find a cheaper 400, from the '70's. But I'd avoid any 400 with a block casting number ending in "557".

Don't know what your budget is. But here's a decent 400 crate motor.
