I bought my new 86 TA for 13k. Be real and expect almost that much. 3rd gens are not in big respect comparatively and have never been.

Thanks for the response! If I made the commitment to have the exterior corrected and re-painted would this de-value the car to some?
Well , what does the paint look like now? If it's original, that was a big miss for the 3rd Gen birds. If it's spotty and chipped, then go for a respray. Mine had the soft rear spoiler but I thought a hard one was available that year...much better IMHO.

Thanks . It's the original paint.
No good. A respray is in order. There is no way to massage the bad original paint. There was actually a recall about the paint but I just missed it. They did get it right for the 4th gens. I still have almost perfect paint for my 98 even after 25 years in the Florida sun.
