Got my 1971 Trans Am from the original owner in 1979. Was at a Pontiac dealer looking for a used Goat, when I saw this guy cleaning out the trunk of a '71 T/A. I got it for $1200 as is.

Bought mine on ebay 2 years ago from a guy in Idaho for $5,000. She had been sitting in a barn for 20 years. 74,000 original miles. This is my third bird. Got my first one in 1987, she was a 1974, stock 350. Blew the original motor and put in a 455. Got my 2nd one (1982- 4 banger) in 1991. We put a 455 in that also. Actually still have it. Rust bucket sitting on my uncles farm.

Somehow I missed this post. But timing is everything, lol. I got a box from my family and my dad had snuck in the original registration and sales tax form for the Formula. He purchased it in Dec 1977 for $1,300.

The 68 convertible was purchased Oct 2012. Wow time flies.
