Honeycomb versus Snowflake

Most will decide according to era of car and which it came with. The aluminium snowflake was a far superior rim, both then and now, can easily be refinished and found in a condition suitable for reuse. The honeycomb rim was a basic steel wheel with a bonded plug insert, hard to refinish, hard to find in perfect condition of rusted rim or distorted face ad they were heavy, both were compared to now. 17x9 versions of either are obviously similar in specs. After that it comes down to which you like, and really all that matters. If painting them custom, you may save some cash using clean but used rims, paint or powdercoat the lot, then skim machine the face spokes like new.
