Hi Andrew,

It just says we are against the grain for the most part lol. Nothing wrong with a V6. I got a few of them in my posession as we type and they are all good, reliable and quite peppy although none are in a Firebird I am referring to
.

I've got 3 v6 cars and all of them will one day be V8s. I'm in the process of 3.8l Cutlass Supreme to 383 SBC right now, then 87 2.8l Firebird to 355 And hopefully 97 Bird to a LS1. I've got a lot of work to do, lol
I haven't been here in a while - nice to see some others in the area! Hi to everyone.

heh, back. move to Yorktown. where my peeps at?
wow, it's been a while since anyone's posted here, but i'll give it a shot

i'm brand-freaking-new to the trans am/firebird world, but i live in yorktown, and i guess i have a fellow enthusiust out there close to home.

but i have to be honest when i say that all the firebirds/trans ams i see are the new fancyshmancy v6 models and i haven't seen a single classic like mine in months...

are we a dying breed?
Hi folks. It's nice to see there are some other F-bird owners on here from the Hampton Roads area. Trust me, there are a ton of fourth generation Trans Ams and Formulas in this area, and even a few Firehawks (one in Hampton), and I'm starting to see more and more third generation Trans Ams running around and I see an occasional second and first gen bird just haven't been able to catch the owners.

There is a local Trans Am club in the area (Tidewater Trans Am Club) that has been around for nearly three decades and is open to all Firebird owners. We're always looking for fresh blood.

So there seems to be a lot of folks in the Tidewater area, but not so many in Richmond.
I know there are other 'Bird owners around because I see them on the road from time to time - V6 and V8. I just don't see them here.

Ya, we are still a small site, but perhaps in the future we will see a lot more of them here.

Are there regional groups that get together? Like a Mid-Atlantic group or something? I've searched high and low on the web but haven't found anything.

to you Bob!
