I installed a 105 amp alternator on my 68 bird and my gen light is on. It does not use the 2 wires for the gauge is there any way I can connect them to work again or am I out of luck? I would like the light to go off though.

Which wire plug are you using?

S terminal - Senses battery voltage
IG terminal - Ignition switch that turns the voltage regulator on
L terminal - Closes the circuit to the warning lamp
B terminal - Main alternator output terminal (connected to the battery)
F terminal - Full-field bypass for regulator
