ive decided on the ever so popular 350 for my 84 trans am. plan on boring it .020 or .030 over,a slightly more agressive than stock cam but not sure how aggressive. a bigger valve job but not sure on the sizes as i am only current with mopar specs. an edelbrock performer rpm or weiand stealth intake. a 4bbl holley. im not sure on which holley model or cfm. this will be determined at a later date. and a set of hooker shorty headers and a dual 3 inch exhaust with no cats. the tranny will be a 400 i believe but im not sure on what converter i will use. never had to work on an automatic before. the rear end i want 3.73 or 3.9?'s with a stock height tire but maybe a 10.5 inch width or so. ive never worked with a car this light before and i mostly worked on trucks for more torque. all help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

anyone have an idea of approximately how much hp i can expect and a quarter mile time approximation. i weigh 296 lbs if it helps any.

probably should go with the 3.43's then. may go with a taller tire though so maybe a 3.55. im not sure on how drastic of a change these are since my fifth ave has 2.26 in it
