I think we all get that. Whether it be from parents, spouse, friends, girlfriends, neighbors, etc., truth is dude there could be many reasons ie: no love of the hobby, no experience with using own hands, jealousy, some people only go through life in a feasible manner, some people are a soccer mom type of person, some people get no thrill out of driving, etc. Jealousy is usually the least reason except when amongst friends but mainly all mean well. What people do not realize is sometimes what right for them may not be right for others.

I have this one friend for years pushing me to sell my car, not because of jealousy or anything but because of the profit I could make without investing money. Now ofcourse its too late because I am into the resto full steam but in his mind was the dollar value to be made with a classic car as rare as mine. Seems he went to a Carlisle swap meet and saw two same year Trans Ams with automatics in worse condition then mine before I started the restoration and one guy was asking $5500 and the other wanted $7000. Because my car is just as rare if not rarer he went nuts and immediately started bugging me with sell my car on E-bay and buy one already done. Which made no sense to me because either way they both cost money and either way I end up with the same thing except I will know mine is done right. Go figure what makes some people click.

Heres some advice, do not sell if you do not want to, because you will regret it. Only sell when you yourself feels it is time, as only you will know best.

Cheers,
~Lou

Cool, The car that was stolen from me was a 1968 400 H.O. 4-speed convertible. Maybe after I am done with this Formula I will search out another one to restore. Before I die I must own another 68 , ofcourse my 70, and a 77 or 78 SE 4-Speed T-top car. That ofcourse will be next to my 1970 Hemi Cuda with a pistol grip, my 440 sixpack Challenger with a pistol grip, my 1970 Mach 1 Drag Pack w/ 4-speed, my 1966 Chevelle SS 396, my 1969 GTO Judge RAIV W/4-speed, my 2002 Harley Edition WS6 Ram Air Trans Am, the 55 Chevy, the 55 Buick Roadmaster Convertible, the 58 Impala, 61 Chevy with a 409, 1958 Tuxedo edition Corvette, the 64 Convertible GTO 389 and trips, the 34 Ford with a rumble seat, the 32 Chevy 3 window coupe, the 29 T-bucket, the 58 Olds Custom, the 49 Ford, the 51 Mercury Lead Sled, 89 GTA Turbo, 1971 Olds 442 Wedge convertible w/4-speed, the 57 Nomad with a 327 and fuelie set-up, the Hemi Superbird with a pistol grip, the 69 Hemi Charger with a pistol grip, the 62 Bonneville, the 63 Bonneville, the 65 2+2 421SD with trips, lets not forget the 67 Sport Fury convertible Hemi and a 58 Fury with trips......... then ofcourse there is the 87 Silverado v20 monster truck 4x4 with Military axles, the V8 Dune Buggy, the Willies Rock Crawler, the Kenworth show truck w/sleeper and the 34 Chevy pickup w/ 427 blown, just to name a few and ofcourse a very, very, very huge garage. Then I could possibly die a fulfilled man.
