You can for sure dirve it every day i did it for 5 years my only caution would be that keep it stored away and if you wash it make sure that the water does not lie in any spots such as the lip under ur rear quarter panels, rust is killer and now i have to fix my car because of it.

The only probelm's i ever had with it was she would leave me stuck the odd place, thats probly was because i was not good enough at fixing machianical stuff to get it started, i always had problem with ingition and starters and stuff in the hot weather. Oh and gas was killer as the guys said above, But to drive it on a daily baisis is a hell of alot more fun then driving a ###### small car, and you will find people to race on a daliy basis. nothing feels better then beating a civic from the light at 8 Am on ur way to work. And like someone else said an old TA is alot safer then a new car , i Hit a guy doing probly 50 KM per hour like 35 MPH, i bent his fender and blew out his front lights on his car and i didn't even need body work to my 78 , and i know i guy who put a 77 in a ditch at 90 MPH and the car was in prety good shape, twisted frame but not bad for how fast he was going, he walked away and never even whent to the hospital. So they are very safe for sure.
