folks i need help, i think my cat converter might be stoped up. here are the signs iam getting, car is shaking really bad, sounds like a constant looping in exhaust sound. lose in power, check engine light flashing, rotten egg smell, and after i turn it off the cat converter is solid red as if its about to catch on fire. so my question is will the car be fine if i cut the cat converter off and run a straight pipe (or test pipe) in its place? and what do i do with the sensor? emission and sound laws i dont have to worry about in my area cause its common to see something go by and be so loud one would think your windows are going to shatter while in traffic.... any suggestions.?

Why not just go with a high-flow cat? I know magnaflow makes a great cat. Just something to chew on...
