We had done this cruise around the lake earlier this year, and I'm only now getting around to posting it.
This show has a ton of sweet cars...just take your time and look through all the pictures, you won't be disappointed.
I drove my red 83 T/A, and my kid was right behind me in his black 87 GTA.
See if you can find us!

Leon

Me and my wife.

My son and his friends.

My buddy and his wife.
He bought this 02 new and has less than 6000 miles on it.
I raced him and he can juuust stay ahead of me...pretty close!

Wow Leon, you weren't kidding about the pics ... they are great! I can't believe the difference in your son in just a year. He's going to be an awe inspiring young man to the ladies!

All the Firebirds looked amazing! I think they looked the best out of all of the cars there. I don't think the photographer did justice to a lot of those cars by taking crappy pictures though. Just goin' through all of 'em I noticed a a bunch of little stuff that they did wrong. Placement, wrong angle with the sun, cutting off parts of peoples cars, and there was no variety. The pictures all looked the same. I mean c'mon... it's not hard to take a good picture.

Sorry that's one thing that grinds my gears.

Thanks Doc, and you guessed it pretty close, as he's up to his neck in girl troubles, the poor bastard! hahaha!

We did alot of restoration on it after getting it home, but it was mostly paint work, where it was looking rough and what another owner had done to it, under the hood.
These pictures should give you some idea what we did to her.

Ya, thanks Chris, but his car MAYBE gets taken out of the garage 6 times ALL year long.
He really blows me away by how well he takes care of it!

I need to get started on my other kids T/A.
The work never ends at my house!

Wow, somehow I missed this post too!! I don't know what happened, but I seemed to have missed a lot of great threads! Your work is top notch Leon as those cars look freaking beautiful and I really cannot wait to see the progress on your next project!! Great photos too!

What kind of radar detector are you running?

Thanks Bob!

I have been
so busy working on our two Grand Prixs, that I haven't had the time to get started on the Daytona Pace Car, but in reality, the youngest is going to need the Grand Prix done before the T/A anyways.
He turns 16 this December and my time to work on cars can only go so far before the sun rises! haha!

The detecter is a Cobra ESD 737, and it has more than paid for itself

Yep, I same here, if I don't have my detector on the window, I feel like I am missing something. I have the Escort, but the suction cups suck for the escort, so I haven't been able to put mine on the window in some time.
