hello all... Im new to the forum but I am looking for some much needed help at this point..... Im in the home stretch of restoring my baby .... It was my first car and has been a 10 yr project... long story short the car has been disassembled for about 10 years and unfortunately I had a lot of parts accidentally tossed at the shop it used to be stored at.... I am currently in the situation where I am trying to find all the wiring harness' needed to finish up the car. the problem is I have nothing and after 10 years of being torn apart have no recollection of how any of it goes together or is to be routed. as far as I can recall (please correct me if im wrong) there is a separate a/c harness, engine harness, and a headlight harness, I know it has the bulkhead connector on the firewall for the engine harness but how/where do the headlight harness, engine, ac harness all get connected respectively. please if anybody has any pdf documents that would help or perhaps some good detailed pictures for me would be greatly appreciated.... I am having one hell of a time trying to find a parts car to get them off of or at least use for reference..

Great to have you here and glad to see another bird being restored.

My 71 wiring was broken up into multiple harnesses like you described, so I'm sure the later years were also.

Here is a link to our Tech Article Index. In it the 2nd Gen section is a link to a 79 wiring diagramhttp://www.firebirdnation.com/forums/topic/21-tech-article-master-index-look-here/

The complete GM Service Manual will be very useful also. you can order that from from on of the site's vendors for $30. It's worth every penny, I've used mine lots.http://www.firebirdnation.com/forums/user/4917-erwin78ta/

Another item that you may find useful is the factory's Assembly Manual. I'm not positive what year's are available in the later 2nd gens, I know that a few years are missing. Check with Erwin for that also. If he doesn't carry those, try, Inline Tube and Year One. There are probably other places to order them too.
