I lived in san diego and bought my 70 esprit from la jolla and took it from a stock bird to the current pics before I sold it. do the build with something you like and do it your way. I had everyone try to talk me out of the black along with the 400 I put in and built the crap out of it. Finding the parts is the hard part and I would say go with any repo except classic ind they do not fit the 70-73 very well. I added and like the formula hood but the shaker gives it a whole other look.So it depends on what your doing with car and how much you want to get into it. I would go with new wire harnesses as much as possible and do it while it is apart. That is the only thing I regret was not to replace everything new. Good luck!

Most there dashes are 70-81 which fit the later models and don't have the look of the 70-73 they have the dash of the later models. Just dashes will redo your current one for around 750.00 if I recall to the original. Also try the partsplaceinc.com they have what I have seen the best fitting parts. Now I know there is a lot of others out there but from every part ordered they fit great and he has some of the old die's from gm. They don't have everything but hope it helps. The inside door where glass goes the crank or hinge from classic is the only thing that I did not have to send back. My interior was shot and I changed about everything and went to black for interior. I also powdered coated inside rails. The rails on the headliner be real careful not to break the clips for they do not make them anywhere, Hard to find. Year one, ames, etc all have parts.
