I guess I never did up a thread for just my car so here it goes. This is my 68.
Originally a Verdejo Green 350 car (was sold to me as being a matching numbers 400, but oh well). It is now Electron Blue Pearl, gasp...a Honda color and is about 13 years old. Original interior is still there as far as I can tell, but the color has been changed. Was originally blue, but has all been painted black (many years ago before I got her. Fortunately you can't reall tell as it was done well.
When I got the car the outside and interior looked great, but the engine needed some work. Under the hood was green...covered in mold, grime, grease, oil, etc... It was nasty! 2.5 years later and she now looks like this. All the chrome has been swapped out for billet (I hate chrome), the motor has been out and cleaned up. I have plans to be at about 500 at the wheels, but all in time. Has about 9,000 miles since the last rebuild. Has a TH350 that screams at me when I try to take her on the highway, lol. I guess 3-speeds and deep gears don't go together for top end. Eventually a new tranny will be in order! It has B&M shift kit, 2500 stall.
Engine specs...
XH B-body block, casting number 9790071. Made 22 Jan 1969
62 heads (from a GTO I believe). Made 27 Jan 1969
Edelbrock intake and carb
Mild cam
Headers
Wheels are Coddingtons, 17" up front and 18" out back. I replaced all the suspension not long ago as all of the bushings were shot. Also replaced the steering with a Hotchkis set up. Got rid of those old school Gabriel gas shocks and threw on some Hotchkis/Fox street series.
Next up on the list is to get rid of the drums and go 4-wheel discs. Can't have all that go with no woah!
