I have seen this dash kit for my firebird but was wondering if and what all I am going to have to mod or cut on my dash to actually get it to fit in the dash. Any help is appreciated.

No dash kit needed for my touch screen radio. All I did to make it fit was brake the plastic on top of the climate control that holded the factory radio in and chopped the top part of the border that covers the screws.

Somehow, a kit sounds like it might provide better results. If it's like this one from Amazon, the first review indicates there is some sort of "cutting" inside the dash radio compartment.

You will have to cut or otherwise remove the support bracket that fits the pin on the back of the stock radio if the new radio is deeper (most likely)
