I have a1989 pontiac gta 305 with a 5 speed. All stock. Up until yesterday I could start the car right up. There would be a little bit of a rough idle. I can drive it ok down the road with no noticable power loss. When I go to turn it off after a 20 -30 minute drive, it will not restart. The engine turns over with no ignition. After the car cools down, it will start right up again. Any help?? I have replaced spark plugs, wires, dis. cap, coil, o2 sensor. UPDATE---Now the car has gotten worse. After the car cools down, I can start it and go about 1/2 mile and then there is a severe loss of power. So much power loss that you cant drive it. Parked it last night and went and got it this am. Drove it home about 4 miles and parked it. Started it up this afternoon and only went 1/2 mile until the power loss. I coasted it almost home and it sits 1/2 way up my driveway! It almost sounds like there is 2 different things going on but mabye the first thing got worse? PS --I dont drive this car everyday, about 100 miles in the last 4 years. Any help would be appreciated.

Now the car wont start. It will turn over but wont start. It has fuel pressure. Any ideas??

Have you replaced the fuel filter, it is possible to have pressure, but very little flow

And are you sure the fuel is good, fresh, 25 miles a year is tough on that.
