I found a OEM fender and picked it up over at Franks Pontiac parts in the California desert.

Right now it's in Laguna New Mexico on US route 66 on it's way to Albuquerque I should get it about Tuesday.

So I have some more work to do YEAAA!!! I need a patch panel for the rear corner .

It's a good thing I already did this on the other side and know what I'm doing LOL .

If my motor was actually assembled....we would be at the same portion of our bird build journey! Great work and really look forward to hearing this one run!

I mocked up the passenger side fender with the badges and louvers just for fun and to see how it would look.

I also started stripping the paint off the oem ds fender I picked up from franks it's amazing what passes for body work.

There is almost no rust on this fender but in the usual spot where the body brace runs down the rear of the fender .

And so the work begins .

On a side note today I have a pork butt in the smoker for some pulled pork YUMMM !!!

I'm glad I have the factory assembly manual and the service manual

there sure is a certain order this bumper goes back together in.

Robert Yes I have taken a little break still doing little things every day .

Still assembling the bumper I had some more painting to do .

I found the front valance brackets one was ripped in half the other was bent out of shape

and broken on the oval hole I welded that up and bent it back into shape and then fabricated

the one for the other side, here's pictures I know everyone loves pictures LOL
