Well its been a while so here is a update I pulled the engine out and pulled it apart

Tire Wheel Automotive tire Motor vehicle Automotive lighting Automotive lighting Motor vehicle Automotive design Art Gas

I found some problems the valve springs were not matched to the cam and dished

A lifter and roached a lobe on the cam on closer inspection the cam had wear on some

of the other lobes. This was probably caused by not using a oil high in zinc MY BAD

Wood Fashion accessory Metal Darkness Body jewelry Liquid Automotive lighting Fluid Bicycle part Bumper

Automotive exterior Trunk Bumper Motor vehicle Gas

I rebuilt built the heads and picked a comp cam kit K51-222-4 with new springs.

I used this stuff phosphoric acid It turns iron oxide (rust) to iron phosphate a hard

protective coating ready to be painted

I am also going to pull the rest of the engine apart because of all metal I had rolling

around in there. I checked the cylinder bores with inside micrometers and came up

with 4.122 about .002 wear remember a hair measures .003 and maybe .001 taper

from top to bottom. So I am replacing the rod main and cam bearings and new pistons

I have to replace the rear main seal anyhow.

And I want thank every one for all the help here at FBN

With new bearings. I made a cam bearing removal- installation tool at work on the

Lathe it works really good I found one of the old cam bearings was installed wrong

and showed abnormal wear and I have some extra help here
