I started my Project!!!  I bought this car 12/23/2013, yes 2013 ,as a Christmas gift to my shelf.  Now I'm done with my last 2 projects a 1970 cutlass and a 84 Chevy 4x4, and I'm starting my firebird build. It has set outside almost the whole time I have owned it. I knew it was in bad shape when I bought it, but I had one way back in high school ( 1982 ) and fell in love with this car. So I have a long job ahead of me. My step Daughter has clamed this as her car, and wants it as part of her inheritance. So I told her to pick a color for exterior, and a interior color, plus what motor and trans she wants. I was happy she wants a 455, and 4 speed. exterior will be Carousel red , with tan interior. I'm not crazy about the tan interior, but the car was factory sundance orange,

Carousel red is great with me, my old 69 judge was that color, and I liked it. I'm not planning any factor correct , numbers matching restoration, the car is a esprit, but I'm going trans am clone. Some will hate that , others will not care. Just building for me , and my step daughter, the way she wants it!

Got to admit, that's the first time I've seen HAVC/Sprinkler system wiring in a car.  ...not my first wire nut though, seen that more than I care to admit.  Looking forward to all your progress.

Put the car on a rotisserie today. Hope it will be a big help, I never used one before. There is a lot of rust ! I knew that when I bought it, but more then I thought, Will have to add some bracing, before I start cutting into it.

My bird is an Esprit turned TA clone so I'm all for it! You've certainly got some work ahead of you replacing all that metal, you sure it wouldn't be better to look for a better shell?

And yes RED is a great choice IMO! ahahaha

lots and lots of rust. found out I can do things , I did not know I could do. Plasma cutter really helps!  Passengers floors are only 30% welded, rest is mocked up for fit. will weld everything in 100% when it gets moved to rotisserie.

More pics.

Understatement.  You're moving along very fast and preforming very well.  Great job man!   ...at this pace, you'll be behind the wheel in no time.

Your ahead of me. Great progress so far. I was wondering myself how much can be cut off a car when on a rotisserie?
