i recently purchased 69 firebird convertible with a v-8. the numbers and info so for look like it may be a 69 motor but not original to the car. i can see a 69 next to distributor. r/h fwd below head yd 0212494. and same side next to water pump looks like 29 124157. any info would be great. thanks stan

on the Pontiac block the engine size is cast in raised numbers next to where the fuel pump bolts onto the timing housing. If the intake is off, the numbers are cast into the lifter valley.
